Fujitsu Siemens Computers (FSC) has appointed Apple Centre as its third authorised corporate partner in Bahrain. Under the terms of the agreement, the reseller will take both the computing giant's mobility and business critical computing solutions to both the island's enterprise market and small-to-medium sized business (SMB) sector.

"FSC's business critical computing solutions have proven their flexibility and scalability in IT markets across the Gulf region, Europe and Africa, while its mobile computing products are rated highly," says Apple Centre's sales manager, Asif Mohamed Irfan.

"We are confident that the new partnership will help enhance the Apple Centre's ability to provide market-leading IT solutions to our clients," he adds.

The partnership comes as FSC looks to tap into Bahrain's fast growing technology market, which currently boats a PC penetration growth rate of 31.7%, over 22% internet penetration.

The signing up of Apple Centre should also help FSC expand its reach beyond its traditional strongholds of the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

"FSC has seen considerable success in the IT markets of UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar. [However,] the company has now re-aligned its focus to place special emphasis on the IT sector in Bahrain," explains Sajjad Abbas, FSC's corporate channel manager, Gulf region.
