Citrix Systems and IBM have cemented their longstanding global partnership within the Middle East. Together, the two companies will focus on delivering server consolidation, application deployment and access solutions to enterprises throughout the Middle East. Key to this endeavour will be solutions such as Citrix's MetaFrame XP Secure Access Manager 2.0 and Conferencing Manager 2.0.

"This is a natural progression given the global relationship of the two companies around the world," says Antoine Aguado, regional manager of Citrix Systems Middle East.

"We finally have a strong channel partner community in the region, which does pre-sales, sales, marketing and post-sales support to bring complete Citrix On Demand solutions to our customers. IBM and Citrix offer a solution you can rely on, plus access to the expertise and knowledge you need," he adds.

Both Big Blue and Citrix believe there is a big market for their combined talents within the Middle East as local end user organisations strive to bring greater control to their computing environments through centralised management solutions.

"Today, there is an increasing need among enterprise customers to gain more centralised control over servers and applications," confirms Mourad Zohny, IBM channel sales manager, Middle East.

"With issues such as better management and safeguards against business downtime, working with Citrix allows us to provide customers with a single integrated solution that ensures an IT solution that works," he says.
