Abu Dhabi-based aviation charter company, Royal Jet has been named as “The one Company to Watch” in the aviation sector by the UK-based Institute of Transport Management.

The award is part of the Institute’s One to Watch Program 2003, which is designed to highlight start-ups that are likely to succed over the next three years. Royal Jet was picked out from over 500 aviation start-ups worldwide, based on analysis by the Institute’s Research Centre. It examined published statistical data, annual reports, press releases, surveys and a number of other resources in an attempt to present the Awards Committee with a complete view of the eligible companies. The committee then examined a final shortlist before naming Royal Jet as the most dynamic start-up in the aviation sector.

“We are proud to be part of the One to Watch Program 2003 before we have completed a year in the market,” says Ammar Balkar, sales & marketing director of Royal Jet. “This award will give us more incentive to excel more with the support from His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan."

Commenting on the “One to Watch Award”, Barry White, the Institute’s creative director & the head of the ‘One to Watch’ committee says that “recognition at an early stage of an organisation’s development is invaluable and provides a huge incentive to all involved. I think companies accredited will be delighted to provided tangible evidence to others of their achievements to date."
