MEsteel.com is celebrating as its business-to-business (B2B) portal has racked up over 100,000 visitors after just three years of operation.

Touted as an 'open-to-all' database of steel buyers and sellers in the Middle East, the site also attracts visitors from around the world keen to tap into its wealth of suppliers and read its local steel news and technical information.

According to Mesteel.com, users of the site can benefit from reduced acquisition costs and greater access to a wider range of suppliers. The site also provides a number of marketing opportunities as users can carry out targeted mass mailings.

In addition to its growing haul of visitors, the steel portal has recruited 1500 members, with about 40 new companies joining every month.

The company also has plans to expand its services by creating regional portals to cover the entire globe, which the company believes will enhance member exposure worldwide steel contacts.
