Airbus will highlight the A330/A340 family at Dubai 2003 by showcasing four of its latest airliners at the air show.

The A340-600 is set to take part in the daily flying display and will be fully decked out in Airbus colours. As well as the A340-600, Airbus will display the A340-500, in Emirates livery, as well as the A330-200 and Airbus Corporate Jetliner (ACJ) - both in Qatar Airways colours on the ground.

Emirates, set to become the first airline to put the A340-500 into service and Qatar Airways, the largest all-Airbus operator in the Middle East are both set to work alongside Airbus at Dubai 2003.

In addition, Airbus will have a large presence on the EADS stand, where visitors can experience the features of the A340-600 and A319LR cabins, and view models of all of the Airbus airliner family - including a one-twelfth scale version of the A380.

The region is a key market for Airbus, with carriers in the Middle East and North Africa forecast to acquire some 620 airliners worth some US $50 billion up to the year 2018.

Airbus' A330/A340 family has received more than 800 orders from over 60 customers while the ACJ has already won several customers in the Middle East.
