Trying to decide between a still or a movie camera? The latest miniature digital video camera from Sanyo, the extremely snug-looking Xacti C1, allows you to perform the functions of both, and you can capture a still image even while shooting a video.

The Xacti weighs in at just 153g, and measures 69 x 34 x 108mm, fitting easily into the hand, thanks to its pistol-shaped body. The camera also comes with a 128MB SD (secure digital) memory card as standard, although a rather more hefty 1GB card can be purchased as required.

Picture quality is described as TV standard, with the camera supporting MPEG-4 recording technology and featuring a 3.2-megapixel CCD and 5.8x optical zoom.
