E-health company Healthgulf.com is to implement a state-of-the-art, fully-integrated hospital information system (HIS) at the Kingdom Hospital and the Riyadh Consulting Clinic in Saudi Arabia. The solution, MyCare, streamlines all technical, administrative, and logistics functions inside the hospital, such as patient management, billing, stores, purchasing and accounting.

“Our strategy is to partner with private and public healthcare sectors in KSA ,Gulf and Arabian states, to help improve health care services,” says Dr Abdullah Al-Amro, chairman of Healthgulf.com. “Our HIS will provide technology advanced platform to hospitals facilitating operational cost reduction and yet advanced medical services to patients.”

Since its opening in May 1999, the Kingdom Hospital has relied on three different high-tech systems covering functions such as patient care, finances, billing and technical support. “When the new HIS suite is in place we’ll have one fully-integrated solution as opposed to three. It is cost-effective and covers all our needs. HealthGulf.com represents value-for-money for us,” says Dr Fayez Takieddine, executive general director of the Kingdom Hospital and Riyadh Consulting Clinics.

Dr Fayez adds: “The new system allows different users to effectively and efficiently manage information, enhancing operational effectiveness and improving the quality of services.”
