Almasa IT Distribution has taken one step closer to becoming a one-stop-printing supply shop for the local channel with the signing of a distribution agreement with HP's imaging product group. The deal will see Almasa supply the region's reseller community with not just printing hardware, which it has done since 1996, but also the computing giant's Smart Print Supplies.

"Almasa IT Distribution has added another feather in our cap with the signing up of the HP supplies contract. With this development, our esteemed customers will be better served with a one-stop-shop," says Lancy Menzes, HP business unit manager, Almasa IT Distribution.

"Through this deal, we will be able to consistently supply a full range of quality products with a pricing strategy that is competitive," he adds.

In addition to increasing the range of printing products Almasa is capable of delivering, the deal should help the distie achieve its goal of becoming the region's leading HP distributor by 2006.

"Adding more HP products helps us strengthen our vision and deliver the full pot of quality products," says Menzes. "HP, together with Almasa, will have the answer to the market's need and we aim to become one of the leading regional distributors of HP by 2006," he adds.
