AMCO has signed up for Comtrust's ePayment service to add an online payment function to its business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce portal. By incorporating the Etisalat business unit's service into its web presence, the UAE-based garment manufacturer hopes to accelerate the procurement process for its customers.

"AMCO has consolidated its manufacturing facilities here in the Middle East, yet our market is truly global. The portal has been designed to allow our customers from around the world to view our collections and select and purchase [them] online," explains AMCO's Rashid Anwar.

"By allowing customers to conduct business remotely in a much speedier and efficient manner and reducing the time taken to select orders, we shorten the overall fulfilment timeline," he adds.

Comtrust will be responsible for providing the secure and efficient transaction environment that enables AMCO to transact with customers, banks and card networks on the internet.
