Jet Aviation unveils plans for third maintenance facility in the Middle East

Jet Aviation it to build facilities to offer maintenance services and fixed based operations (FBO) in Dubai. It has similar facilities in Riyadh and Jeddah. Jet Aviation Dubai, a joint venture with the Almulla Business Group of Dubai, is expected to be fully operational in the second half of 2004 and will include a 4200 m2 hangar, large enough to accommodate two BBJs or Airbus Corporate Jets simultaneously. Jet Aviation Dubai will offer scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, aircraft repair, defect rectification, aircraft modification as well as avionics installations and retrofits. In addition, the facility has 1000 m2 of workshops and the maintenance division plans to apply for Authorized Service Centre status on Boeing, Gulfstream, Falcon, Cessna, Raytheon and Embraer aircraft. The 1050 m2 FBO building will house a reception area with a refreshment centre, VIP lounge, state-of-the-art conference room, prayer room and offices. In-house immigration and customs clearance, security checks, baggage screening and metal detector capability allow for passenger and baggage handling.
