Crystal Visions, a new product being promoted by Creative Resins Distribution, aims to cut window clean times in half by combing a cleaning agent and sealant in one. “With all these tall buildings with glass fronts in Dubai, we have had a lot of interest in the product,” said Michael Bollom, Creative Resins Distribution’s MD. The sealant was originally designed to make glass hydrophobic, but it is equally effective against sand in the desert regions of Middle East. It works by sealing the glass, making it extra smooth, so that pollutants have nothing to hold on to. “There is a glass plaque outside the show hall [the Dubai World Trade Centre] that is very smeared and stained with water. If they had applied our product to it then they wouldn’t have had that problem,” noted Bollom. Crystal Visions only needs to be applied to windows once every six to twelve months, depending on the local conditions. For industrial use, Creative Resins Distribution sells the product in 25 litre barrels, but it is also available in smaller containers for retail.
