Belkin is continuing to expand its USB range with the introduction of a number of USB 2.0 products. According to the vendor, the solutions offer plug and play flexibility, enabling multiple devices to work together seamlessly.

The 2.0 solutions are also capable of delivering speeds up to 480 Mbits/s, which is 40 times faster than USB 1.1 devices. This improved speed enables users to edit, store and transfer large files from devices such as MP3 players, digital cameras and portable hard drives more quickly and effectively, reports Belkin.

The vendor’s latest additions include a Media/Writer 8 in 1 device, which allows users to read and write up to eight different memory card formats such as Smart Media, Compact Flash SD, MicroDrive and MemoryStick; a DVD Creator that enables users to capture video from camcorders, PC cameras, VCRS and other analogue video sources and a Drive Bay Hub, which allows users to connect four USN devices at the front of a PC. Other devices in the USB 2.0 range include hubs, PCI cards and cables.
