Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) is encouraging interested IT professionals to register online for the forthcoming Gitex exhibition. All those that pre-register online will be able to skip the usual queues outside the show and use the fast-track desks in the foyer.

“Our computerised pre-registration process is designed to ease overcrowding at the registration desks during the show and enables us to effectively monitor the interest the event is generating among IT professionals throughout the region even before the show,” explains DWTC general manager, exhibitions, leasing and property, Abdulla Qassem.

“Gitex over the years has evolved into the business platform [and it] always attracts a tremendous visitor response… We encourage those planning to attend the event, to register in advance to guarantee quick access to the show” he adds Qassem.

Pre-registration is limited to trade professionals only. College and university students who wish to visit the exhibition must show valid identification and pay the applicable fees offline.

Last year, approximately 8000 pre-registered for the exhibition online. With an expected 65,000 people expected to converge on the trade centre for the five day exhibition, the show organisers are hoping to boost the number of visitors signing up over the internet, and reduce congestion at the registration desks.
