Although Gitex Dubai is still six weeks away, Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has kicked of the marketing campaign around its Hyderabad exhibition. Gitex Hyderabad will run from the 12th to the 14th of January at the Hitex International Exhibition Centre.

“We are upbeat that next year's event will once again underscore the potential opportunities that the state of Andhra Pradesh offers IT industries seeking to expand their operations, not just statewide but to markets throughout India and abroad,” says N. Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister, the state of Andhra Pradesh.

“We are confident that Gitex Hyderabad will showcase the potential of the State as the premier centre in India for business process outsourcing and e-Governance solutions,” he adds.

Last year’s exhibition had 70 exhibitors and attracted approximately 4500 local and international visitors.

“Gitex Hyderabad was launched in 2002 to serve the huge Indian market and has over the last couple of years become an excellent business platform for companies to display latest technologies and launch new products and services,” says Mubarak Bin Fahad, director general, DWTC.

“Gitex Hyderabad 2004 will progressively increase in size and scale and provide an effective B2B stage for the IT&C industry confirming Hyderabad’s status as the land of e-opportunities,” he adds.

Running alongside the Hyderabad exhibition, NASSCOM will also be hosting a conference covering topics, such as e-government and business process outsourcing.

Other Gitex exhibitions also run in Riyadh, Cairo and Beirut throughout the calendar year.
