Fluke Networks is targeting datacomm installers, network administrators and electrical contractors with a bundled offering that includes its MicroScanner Pro VDV Kit and for a limited time a free Installation Tool Kit. The solutions will provide users with a comprehensive package to provide video, voice and data cabling verification.

“The MicroScanner Pro VDV kit equips users at any knowledge level with all the tools and information they need to verify voice and data communications, and video cabling installations,” says David McLean, marketing manager for MicroTools.

“Rather than purchasing multiple products for applications, customers appreciate a single tool set that verifies and troubleshoots twisted pair copper, coax cabling and two conductor security and control cabling. By adding the free installation tool kit, this package is unbeatable value,” he adds.

The MicroScanner Kit offers users a verification tester, MicroProbe toner probe, remote wiremap adapter, office/room ID set and adapters for testing coaxial cabling and two conductor wires. The solution also includes a ‘Business in a Box’ CD-Rom that provides users with basic information on residential VDV applications, cabling preparation, termination and installation standards, among other topics.

The Installation Tool Kit offer is available until the end of 2003 and combines strip, crimp and termination tools for UTP cables and connectors.
