NBK opens new branch in Bahrain

National Bank of Kuwait, the largest financial institution in Kuwait, opened its new branch in Bahrain in August, as part of its regional and international expansion strategy.

National Bank of Kuwait, the largest financial institution in Kuwait, opened its new branch in Bahrain in August, as part of its regional and international expansion strategy.

The new branch will operate under an on-shore license providing a full range of financial services.

The bank which reported a net profit of US $195 million for the first half of 2003 operates in London, New York, Paris, Geneva, Lebanon, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and plans to open new in Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
