Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Information is upgrading some of its infrastructure and will now have three new PTV PT5230 digital video generators.

The PT5230s, which feature up to four SDI generators in one 19" rack unit are being upgraded by Modern Media Systems, local agents for UK-based broadcast systems integrator ASI (All Systems International), which has had strong links with broadcasters and broadcast systems and products Value Added resellers (VARs) in the Middle East.

The units, which will be procured by ASI from Danish metering specialist DK-Audio, for the Ministry of Information, will be used for sync and pattern generation in the master control room and continuity for the broadcaster's channels One and Two.
