Former BSkyB PPV chief joins Showtime operator

Marc Conneely, former head of pay-per-view events at BSkyB, has joined Gulf DTH as vice president, advertising sales and new business development. Gulf DTH owns and operates the Showtime network, the leading digital pay-television platform for the Middle East and North Africa.

Conneely, who spent five years with BskyB, was formerly with MTV Networks Europe for eight years.

“Showtime has an impressive track record of growth because it delivers the best in world entertainment, and it is gearing up to deliver an even wider range of added value entertainment options which offer advertisers and sponsorship partners highly targeted new media branding opportunities,” says Conneely.

The Showtime network broadcasts 50 channels from the NileSat satellite and has regional customer service call centres located in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Egypt, Jordan and Morocco.
