Fluke Networks is broadening the appeal of its OptiFiber family by introducing multi-language support to its Certifying OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer). The fibre optic cable testing tool is now available in six languages, including English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.

Functionalities such as the user interface and the online help system will be displayed in the technician’s chosen language.

“With this software release OptiFiber now speaks the user’s language,” says Marc Tremblay, EMEA Sales Director.

“Fluke Networks is committed to serving the long-term needs of technicians and engineers engaged in testing fibre optic cable, as demonstrated by this investment. Local language support makes it easier to understand and use the product, simplifying problem resolution and speeding cable certification,” he continues.

The software can be downloaded for free at Fluke’s web site (www.flukenetworks.com.). Additionally, the web site contains information and manuals about to download the software. Simplified versions of Chinese and Japanese are also available online.
