Gulf Air is to re-introduce three destinations to its network. With effect from December, the carrier will operate daily services to Amsterdam, Rome and Johannesburg. It is also panning to recommence daily flights to the United States.

“Our review of customer requirements and the commercial viability studies on these routes are now complete. The final details are presently under discussion prior to the commercial agreements being signed for the start up of daily flights to all three destinations on 1 December this year,” says Fareed Al Alawi, vice president for network at Gulf Air.

“Strong endorsements from the airline’s three owner states, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman, and the significant improvement in performance experienced over the last year has laid the foundation for new initiatives in our turnaround and expansion plans,” he adds.
