The Middle East is one of the few regions in the world where the mobile telecommunications industry is still expanding and experiencing strong growth. Furthermore, there is still plenty of room for the development of GSM services before a move to 2.5 or 3G.

To ensure that the local telecoms community is up to speed with these developments, and understands how it can best take advantage of them, IBC is once again organising its GSM in the Middle East conference.

As part of the GSM World Series and as the official event of the GSM Association, the conference takes place at the JW Marriott Hotel in Dubai on the 7th & 8th of October. Not only will it bring together the regions telecommunications community to discuss this growing market and the opportunities for the development of networks and services, but it will also include 12 operator case studies.

Speakers at the event include Ali M.R. Amiri, executive vice president – operations at Etisalat, Osman Sultan, president & CEO of MobiNil and David Murray, CEO & general manager of Wataniya Telecom.
