LG Electronics is offering customers a range of free offers in the run up to the second UAE Cyber Cup challenge. LG, together with its UAE distributor PC International, is offering free service of any its products, free IT training and product discounts during August, ahead of the LG-sponsored gaming event.

PC International will be providing complimentary services on LG monitors, optical drives and PC products at the LG Digital Service Centre in Dubai. The distributor will also be offering discounts on a range of displays, desktops, notebooks and storage devices to all registered contestants in the LG Cyber Cup.

Free training courses in basic computer use and Internet skills will also be provided by Akkad Training Service for the duration of the promotion. The courses will be held at Akkad’s facilities in Sharjah Mega Mall and in Dubai Media City.

“Our aim in encouraging training is to introduce people to the wonders of the digital world, and to enhance LG’s positioning within it,” said KH Kim IT products manager, LG Electronics Gulf.

This year’s LG Cyber Cup contest, the leading LAN games event in the region, will be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel Dubai from August 24-28th. Players will compete in two different categories, with $30,000 in prizes on offer.
