Network Associates has expanded its range of security solutions in the region with the launch of a tool that enables offline forensic analysis of the entire network traffic. InfiniStream Security Forensics is designed to capture, index and store all data packets on a network to provide evidence of any illegal activity such as computer hacking, intellectual property violation, software piracy and credit card fraud.

“In today’s IT-driven business, the success of any company is critically linked to its network and the data it transports. Protecting the business-critical network traffic is no longer possible with traditional security products because they lack the integration to work together and deliver complete network coverage,” says Patrick Hayati, regional director of Network Associates in the Middle East. “Our new solution packs critical industry-leading features to offer ultimate protection to the entire network’s traffic.”

“The launch of InfiniStream Security Forensics comes in the wake of rather significant moves by Networks Associates to bring the Middle East on par with global markets, including the launch of anti-spam and intrusion detection solutions and the Sniffer Distributed software,” explains Hayati. “The increasing sophistication of the Middle East market implies that businesses here will face the same kind of network problems common in the developed countries.”

Network Associates claims that its software captures full-duplex network traffic data and delivers a complete reconstruction and replay of it. This is especially tailored for complex network architectures that employ techniques such as asymmetric routing or load balancing to improve network performance and integrity.
