US Robotics is set to launch a 100Mbps wireless access kit early next month in the region. The vendor claims that its 802.11g Wireless Turbo range, powered by its proprietary Accelerator Technology, will raise performance levels of users with 54 Mbps to 100 Mbps on a single channel.

“The product is the first of its kind in the world, and will revolutionise the wireless industry,” says Yusuf Syed, regional manager, US Robotics. “With access at this speed, users will be able to send and receive data faster, more securely and with greater compatibility. The Wireless Turbo range functions on a single channel, to ensure greater network capacity and the highest data throughput,” he adds.

Tony Field, product manager EMEA of US Robotics adds that the vendor has made the Turbo range compatibile with other standard wireless devices so as to ensure quick data transfer at all times.
“To ensure the fastest data throughput rates at all times, US Robotics designed the 802.11g Wireless Turbo line for total compatibility with all 54 Mbps 802.11g, 22 Mbps and 11 Mbps 802.11b wireless devices,” he says.

“And because security is a critical concern in any network, US Robotics 802.11g Wireless Turbo products are designed to be up to 10 times more secure than standard wireless networking products. Users can work wirelessly with the confidence of knowing they have the highest level of security protecting their network data and communications,” he adds.

The US Robotics 802.11g Wireless Turbo portfolio includes a router, multi-function access point, PCI adapter and PC card.
