The Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has announced that The Information & Technology Publishing Co. Ltd., better known as ITP, has been awarded the contract for managing and selling all advertising opportunities within the DWTC concourse for the forthcoming Gitex 2003 IT trade exhibition. The appointment has been made as this year’s show looks likely to be the most successful yet.

“Gitex has grown in size and scale over the years and the advertising opportunities it presents have also grown substantially and to manage and execute them more effectively than in previous years, this year, we have appointed ITP as the sole media concessionaires for all such opportunities that are available within the DWTC concourse,” says DWTC director general, Mubarak bin Fahad.

“We are delighted to partner with the DWTC and play a significant role in enhancing the profile of the event by marketing the exhibitor branding opportunities throughout the indoor concourse areas adjacent to the exhibition halls at Gitex, as well as providing world-class visitor entertainment and information services during the show,” adds Walid Akawi, ITP publishing director.

ITP will also be responsible for creating, managing and providing performers for 12 mini-stages strategically located at vantage points throughout the concourses in order to bring innovative, world class marketing and entertainment solutions to the show.

“These performers will provide both stunning visual entertainment for the tens of thousands of visitors to Gitex, and also a revolutionary way for exhibitors to promote their brands and marketing message” says Akawi.

As part of the same deal, ITP will also provide information booths in the concourse for the purposes of providing visitor information and wireless internet access to visitors.
