Paramount Computer Systems is expanding the range of security solutions it offers with the introduction of the X40 Security Appliance from Crossbeam Systems. The X40 product is described as best of breed and can provide load balancing and high availability. The appliance is also capable of working with firewalls, antivirus products, intrusion detection and authentication systems and URL filtering software.

“The introduction of Crossbeam security solutions into the Middle East market reiterates our mission of bringing innovative and leading edge security technologies to this region,” says Krishna Iyer, Paramount’s IT management consultant.

“X40 was selected by Paramount as we are positive this appliance will offer immense benefits in terms of investment and operational efficiency to customers,” he adds.

The security switch also provides full redundancy, flow sequencing, which allows users to determine how the security engines process runs and includes Network Processing Modules (NPM), Application Processing Modules (APM), and Control Processing Modules (CPM).

“X40 Security Appliance helps create a safer, simpler network and achieves an unprecedented return on investment (ROI). No more load balancers, switches or separate appliances to administer,” claims Bernard Zelmans, technical director, Crossbeam Systems.
