SMB Distribution trains retailers on Palm solutions

SMB Distribution has launched a training programme to help its retail partners to improve sales of Palm PDAs

SMB Distribution has launched a comprehensive training programme for its retail partners that sell Palm products. As the authorised distributor for Palm in the Middle East, SMB has decided to launch a number of training events to make sure that retail partners are up to speed on the product range.

The first training sessions were held in conjunction with mobile retailers Axiom, at their outlets across the UAE. Each session involved training on the features of new Palm products including the Zire 71 and Tungsten C, discussion of warranty programmes and how to help customers to select the right products.

Seyed Bukhary, director, SMB Group, commented: “With IT a necessity more than a luxury these days, IT consumers are very savvy. We need to ensure that the new brand of retailers and store sales people are up to speed on the latest technology and in a position to advise and help these consumers make informed choices not just on price but on value.”

SMB now intends to carry out similar training sessions with its other retailer customers in the UAE, including Carrefour and Plug Ins.
