Microsoft Business Solutions is growing its partner expertise in Egypt with the launch of a new training programme. The programme, MS Great Plains Business Solutions, is intended to increase the number of certified engineers in the channel in the region, and to improve overall service levels to customers.

“Microsoft Business Solutions understands that training is essential to realising the full value of a solution, increasing its productivity benefits and speeding the return on a customer’s investment, which is why we’re bringing some of our leading experts to train at the Great Plains Business Solutions sessions in Cairo,” said Soha Kamal, professional services director, Microsoft Business Solutions.

“Our partner initiatives and intensive training programmes are one of the ways we differentiate ourselves in the market and ensure we deliver comprehensive and value-adding support to our customers,” she added.

Reseller interest has been high for the programme, which is being run in conjunction with the US Agency for International Development (USAID), as part of a wide programme to help promote economic and technological development in Egypt.

“We’re pleased and proud to sponsor the Great Plains Business Solutions programme, which offers a vital educational resource within the Egyptian IT sector,” said Dr Moustafa El Gabaly, head of the Partners For a Competitive Egypt programme, a USAID programme for education and learning in Egypt.
