HP is number one in servers

HP has secured the number one spot in the worldwide server revenue countdown, according to IDC. The vendor grabbed a 27.9% market share in Q103, up 2.1% from the fourth quarter of last year.

HP has secured the number one spot in the worldwide server revenue countdown, according to IDC. The vendor grabbed a 27.9% market share in Q103, up 2.1% from the fourth quarter of last year.

HP also tied for the No. 1 position in overall UNIX server revenue, and maintained its No. 1 position in overall Windows server revenue, based on strong ProLiant server sales worldwide. The vendor also maintained its No. 1 position in overall Linux server revenue and sustained its leadership for the Linux x86 segment.
