The first ever Middle East trade show dedicated solely to Palm, PDA & Pocket PC devices is to be held in Dubai during December.

The event is aimed at vendors and manufacturers and will highlight the growing handheld devices market in the region. Among the topics for discussion will be the latest market projections & industry trends affecting handheld adoption and also horizontal & vertical market applications for the Palm, PDA and Pocket PC platforms. The two-day event will also involve case studies of actual handheld device deployments.

“Our aim is to inform users on how to increase profitability and become more efficient and productive by using the latest handheld, devices, software’s solutions and accessories. Ultimately, what users will learn in the Conferences and the exhibit hall will allow their organisation to transform their employees from out-of-sight, out-of-mind road warriors into never-out-of-touch contributors and collaborators,” said Katia Tayar, president & CEO of the event organisers, ARABCOM group.

Leading speakers from the USA, Europe, Asia, Canada and Australia are expected to participate, as well as delegates from the local government and private sectors. The conference will be held in Dubai, 9-10 December 2003, at the Emirates Tower hotel.
