Nexans is promising reduced installation costs and faster field testing with its updated LANmark-6 system. The solution introduces enhanced Ultim patch cords, which are fully compliant with the most recent de-embedded standards and fully interoperable.

The vendor has also modified its LANmark-6 snap in modular jacks to improve performance with the cords. As a result, Nexans claims its upgraded system will deliver “unrivalled performance with a guaranteed minimum 6dB headroom,” while also cutting costs and improving testing accuracy.

The vendor explains that its solution allows site tests to be made using standard channel adapters with the Ultim cord as the test lead, and as a result provides more accurate and easily repeatable results. Additionally, the system removes the need to purchase special adapters or modules for such testing.

The vendor also offers users a full parts and labour warranty for both the link and channel parts of the system.
