Emircom, the UAE-based IT and telecoms solutions provider, has expanded its operations with the opening of a new office in Doha.

The move has seen Emircom setting up three divisions in the Kingdom, focusing on networking and cabling, enterprise solutions and telecoms measurement and multimedia. The structure mirrors the provider’s current set-up in the UAE.

Through the move, the company is hoping to penetrate the Qatar IT market, which has seen increased government spending and is expected to cross the US$200million mark, according to Michel Sawaya, managing director of Emircom.

“This region needs professional service and expertise. The IT and Telecommunications market is expanding,” Sawaya added at the opening of the new office.
