Spices and dried fruit packer, GYMA Enterprises FZE, is implementing Sage’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software in an attempt to streamline its business and meet the company’s future growth requirements.

GYMA FZE plans to roll out Sage’s manufacturing, order processing, purchasing and ledgers modules to improve its operational efficiency. Implemented by Global Technology Solutions (GTS), the ERP software will replace GYMA’s existing legacy applications.

“Our current locally developed solution couldn’t scale to meet our growth requirements. Besides, the system had poor data accuracy and inadequate management reporting,” explains Jean-Marc Lourau, general manager of GYMA FZE.

“We chose Sage ERP because it met all our functional requirements at a reasonable cost. Sage also offered rapid implementation and we plan to go live in June 2003," he adds.

According to Shishir Srivastava, executive director of Sage Software Middle East, the new system will provide GYMA with better financial data analysis, something that should improve the fruit and spice company’s decision making process.
