Siemens Mobile is hoping to win both style-conscious and business customers for its latest handset, the SL55. Small enough to fit into the palm of your hand, it comes packed with a number of features designed to appeal to businessmen on the move.

Weighing in at just 79 grams, the SL55 features a 500 number phone book memory, an extra-large address book, and extensive organiser functions. The tri-band GSM handset also MMS messaging support, with the optional plug-in Siemens QuickPic Camera, pictures can be sent around the world.

“Today communication and style are interwoven. And a mobile phone is as much a fashion statement as it is a personal communications tool,” said Asim Sukhera, regional head of Siemens Mobile Phones in the Middle East. “The new SL55 mobile phone has left nothing for the business and the style conscious consumer to desire. The new handset offers more features and flexibility than ever before allowing the consumer to have the premium end of mobile communications technology and style wherever they are in the world.”

The SL55 also features a vibrant colour display and an unusual slider design that hides a jewel-like keypad. A new design system allows users to control navigation functions even when the phone is closed.
