As a result of new government initiatives, 3Com Middle East is set to answer questions to top government decision makers on topics such as increasing demand on network connectivity and availability of information at an exclusive seminar to be held in Abu Dhabi on May 20.

3Com will outline during the event how enterprise switching solutions can increase productivity and enhance customer service by providing government employees with quick, reliable access to key applications and files while also easing communications via e-mail.

“As government departments adapt, new e-initiatives designed to increase online access for citizens, businesses and other government entities, network infrastructures and information systems face ever more demanding and critical challenges,” believes Tony Nasr, UAE country manager, for 3Com Middle East.

“Crucial for government planners and decision makers is the need to have the right network environment in place from the outset to support these initiatives and that is flexible and open enough to meet tomorrows challenges,” added Nasr.

Delegates attending the event can expect to obtain advice on how to select a switching solution based on their current and future needs and how to expand the network with ease and affordability as their requirements grow. 3Com will also be highlighting its cost cutting telephony and wireless solutions.

“We will be examining the latest networking technologies and solutions that are available to government departments to support their e-government programmes. We will also address the challenges being faced by government agencies as a result of an increasingly mobile and dispersed workforce and the underlying area of network security,” said Nasr.

Underlying each of these solutions will be an update on the latest range of security solutions available from 3Com to protect government networks from unauthorised access and hacker attacks.
