Online Distribution and its vendor partners are introducing a series of products which, they claim, give regional organisations greater visibility and control over their data centres, while removing the need for multiple management tools.

To help firms manage their data centres, applications, ser- vers and the network from a central point, Online Distribution is organising a road show across the GCC this month.

“Regional organisations have now identified that they can save money and boost efficiency by consolidating the number of servers in their data centres,” said Venu Menon, divisional director of Online Distribution.

“According to recent reports from IDC, data centres will need to be fundamentally re-engineered to meet the challenges ahead, as companies grow their business. The Middle East is now a manufacturing hub, and remote assistance and control of data is a major challenge.”

The road show began in Abu Dhabi on December 5, and will also take in Dubai, Riyadh and Dammam in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman.

Seminars will introduce delegates to tools to redesign core data centre architectures to cope with evolving business models.
