Soccerex, the annual football marketing convention that has recently made its home in Dubai, has been rescheduled for November 29 and 30 this year. The dates coincide with some of the opening games of the rescheduled FIFA Youth World Cup.

Both events were due to take place in March but had to be rescheduled because of regional hostilities. The location for Soccerex remains the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Conference Centre.

Amongst the institutions that will definitely be at Soccerex are the English Premier League and Football Association, FIFA, the Libyan Football Federation and the Asian Football Confederation.

“Soccerex is delighted to be returning to Dubai. We would like to express our deepest appreciation to all our sponsors, the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, stand holders and delegates for ensuring that Soccerex reaches new levels of excellence,” said Duncan Revie, chief executive of Soccerex.

The event covers all aspects of football marketing, but the future of the game in Asia is expected to be one of the main issues of debate at Soccerex.

“Soccerex will facilitate exchange between Asian and international entities. It brings together all sectors of international football providing opportunities for all different elements of the sport,” says Mohamed bin Hammam, president of the Asian Football Confederation.
