Saudi transport company, Zahid Heanor has implemented Sage’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) software to manage its business more effectively and sharpen its competitive edge. Deployed by Modern Computers & Communication Company (MCC), the solution comprises modules for inventory management, purchasing, sales order processing, and ledgers.

“We chose Sage ERP because it was easy to use and quick to implement. The system was bilingual and we could enter certain customer information in Arabic. Prior to Sage, we were using an in house system that did not offer us an upgrade path. We also wanted to modernise our current systems and procedures,” says Prakash Mani, general manager of Zahid Heanor.

The roll out of Sage’s ERP app has improved data visibility and decision making throughout the transport company by allowing it to analyse profitability by customer, vehicle or route. Furthermore, the solution has also enabled Zahid Heanor to cut costs by reducing the time it takes to invoice customers.

“Sage has streamlined our invoicing process thus saving us time. We’ve reduced outstanding receipts using better credit control. We’ve also improved inventory management of our vehicle spare parts using Sage. This has reduced delays in vehicle service and over stocking of expensive vehicle parts,” explains Khaled Gamal, finance manager of Zahid Heanor.

“In the future, Zahid Heanor plans to streamline shipment tracking using software integrated to Sage. We also plan to use Sage improve our vehicle maintenance scheduling” he adds.
