Emirates Internet and Multimedia (EIM), Etisalat’s ISP business unit, is to showcase a range of internet products for the travel and hospitality industry at this year’s Arabian Travel Market.

At the exhibition, which runs May 6th-9th at the Airport Expo, Dubai, EIM will be unveiling its much-awaited wireless hotspots. Expected to be launched towards the end of 2003, the hotspots will allow users to connect to the internet via wireless connections at public locations, such as hotels and conference suites.

“The travel and hospitality sector in the U.A.E is hugely important to us,” comments Maroua Naim, general manager, EIM. “Over recent years we have launched a number of products that are targeted specifically at this market. The ATM is a time of the year where we have the opportunity to highlight the critical importance of technology in helping the country retain its reputation as an international business and tourist hub,” she adds.

Alongside the hotspots, EIM will be demonstrating other products for the industry. These include pre-paid and dial ‘n’ surf services for access without a subscription, and EIM’s range of e-mail, web hosting and co-location packages that allow EIM to manage hotels’ web sites and online presence.
