Canon Middle East has opted to host its customer relationship management (CRM) solution with ASPGulf. The software will be run on a hardened Microsoft platform and Canon employees and business partners will be able to access it, via the web, from anywhere in the Middle East. The contract was signed and managed through ASPGulf’s authorised channel partner, CAD GULF.

“Solutions are normally not so easy to implement but we had an able provider in CAD GULF, which recommended ASPGulf to us,” says Muder Lokhandwala, IT systems administrator from Canon ME. “Since we have ventured into a CRM application for the first time, it was imperative to have an able provider at the outset,” he adds.

In addition to extending access to its CRM application, the decision to outsource the solution to ASPGulf Managed Hosting Services has also cut costs for Canon Middle East. “This cost effective hosting services has made it possible for our Middle East distributor network to come under one centralised system and helps us to serve them more efficiently by providing prompt service which eventually passes on to our valued customers,” confirms Adrian Low, manager – service support department, Canon Middle East.

According to ASPGulf, the Canon contract represents a number of firsts for the hosting company. These include the first instance of a multi-national company hosting its ‘warranty management’ applications in the region and the first time a CRM application has been hosted in the region.

“This is the first CRM application of its kind to be hosted in the region with tight back-end integration with an ERP application,” affirms Tony Sparks, CEO, ASPGulf.
