Veritas declares channel campaign a success

Veritas Software has heralded its recent channel certification campaign as a success and claims that resellers from around the region have “raced to secure the necessary training that qualifies them as experts on Veritas storage management solutions.”

Furthermore, the software vendor says it has witnessed a surge in channel activity, including over subscription to its training courses, as resellers from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, and Egypt all wanted to bone up on Veritas’ software offerings and arm themselves with the necessary skills to deliver high quality services to their own customers.

“Earning Veritas certification enables Middle East-based channel partners to demonstrate tangibly their expertise to end-users, giving those partners real competitive advantage in the increasingly congested regional storage market,” comments Mike Hynes, regional manager of Veritas Middle East.

“A greater number of certified channel partners also increases the comfort factor for Veritas customers in the region, who can expect a consistent, professional level of service when implementing a Veritas-based storage management strategy,” he adds.

Those reseller that took part in Veritas’ recent courses attended courses on the vendors’ Foundation Suite, its data protection solutions and high availability solutions. Attendess can from a number of regional partners, including ACS, ECS, Elite, Emirates Computers, MDS, Pro Technology, SoftFlow, and STME.
