Al Alamiah is planning to leverage its existing Dell business to kick start its professional services operation.

Al Alamiah is planning to leverage its existing Dell business to kick start its professional services operation. Gitex Saudi visitors will be able to get their initial glimpse of the group’s dedicated services unit that offers a range of banking, healthcare, security and enterprise application solutions. “We have partnered with the likes of Microsoft, Dell and Oracle to offer customers a total turnkey solution,” says Mahmoud Shika, head of professional services, Al Alamiah.

Recent months have witnessed several of the Kingdom’s large systems integrators form dedicated professional services organisation.“The professional services market is maturing rapidly,” says Sami Said, sales director, Al Alamiah.

The Kingdom’s steady migration towards the client/server environment will present all systems integrators with a massive opportunity. Al Alamiah intends to leverage its installed base of Dell hardware to win professional service deals.

“Dell has given us great experience in handling massive hardware projects,” says Shika. “We’re now building on that and adding services.”
