Arabian Travel Market is 100% certain to go ahead and reserved space is up year on year, says a statment from the organiser. In recent weeks, exhibitors from Pakistan, South Africa, Malaysia, Kenya, Vietnam and Yemen have signed up for the show, according to Reed Travel Exhbitions.

“Space contracted to date is 10% up on last year,” explained Matt Thompson, group exhibition director for overseas events at Reed Travel Exhibitions.

“In the last couple of weeks, we have had a small amount of participants withdraw from the event, predominantly European private sector companies. The lost space of 209 square metres is counteracted by an additional 247 square metres booked since the second week in March.”

Floor space has now grown to a total of 9,000 square metres. 550-plus exhibitors from 55 countries have contracted for the show, which will be held at the Airport Expo, Dubai on May 6-9.

Visitor pre-registrations have also crossed the 2000 mark, up on the figure at the same stage last year, according to Reed.
