Unemployment hits 31% in Saudi Arabia

Unemployment in Saudi Arabia has reached 31.7%, according to statistics published by the Saudi Monetary Agency (SAMA) and reported in Al-Watan newspaper yesterday.

Unemployment in Saudi Arabia has reached 31.7%, according to statistics published by the Saudi Monetary Agency (SAMA) and reported in Al-Watan newspaper yesterday.

A study entitled “Unemployment: Causes and Remedies” conducted under the supervision of a government agency, recommended a review of the sponsorship system, more Saudization, and employment opportunities for women consistent with Sharia, said the Arab News.
