A car described as a ‘semi-luxury’ sports car is to be manufactured in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, according to an Arab News report.

The Al Araba 1, based on a Saudi design and Indian technology, will be exhibited at this week’s Geneva Motor Show.

The Al Araba 1 will be priced at around $300,000 and is the brainchild of the Al Araba Group, which specialises in auto customisation. The company says it developed the car over the space of a year at a cost of around $3 million.

Fouzy Sabri, president of the Al Araba Group, told Arab News that the car will be introduced into the Dubai market after the Geneva show, with KSA to follow.
