American Power Conversion has been appointed as a preferred UPS supplier for Siemens. The deal will see APC’s whole range of products automatically considered for any project undertaken by the electronics company, and will also allow Siemens to act as an internal and external distributor for APC. Siemens Global Procurement Office (GPO) has signed the contract with APC, which will defines requirements and manages the relationship with suppliers.

“Our new partnership with Siemens, working through their GPO, demonstrates the organisation's confidence in APC’s dependable products,” said Rob Graham, vice president and general manager for APC’s Europe, Middle East and African (EMEA) regions. “Our strong representation and services infrastructure across the continent also strongly positioned us for this appointment.

“Our association with one of the five largest electrical companies globally is definitely an honour for APC. We will do our absolute best as a company to exceed the high expectations this partnership brings,” added Graham.

Michael Tatzel, speaker of Siemens GPO Purchasing Council (PuC) for batteries, chargers and UPS commented: “APC is an important partner for Siemens in the global market. We are looking forward to beginning new projects with APC and feel that this association completes our portfolio.”
