Abu Dhabi Drilling Company (ADCO) has taken delivery of a truckload of HP printer hardware. The vendor is supplying HP LaserJet 4200 and 4600 network machines, a number of high end black & white 8150 laser jet printers and large format devices, such as the DesignJet 1050.

“We are a high volume user of printing and imaging technology,” says Harold Grayson of Abu Dhabi Drilling Company.

“In this regard there is one area where we cannot afford to compromise — quality. We looked very closely at what was available in the market and as far as quality of product and quality of service is concerned HP presented us with an excellent proposition,” he adds.

HP's printers have had to pass rigorous testing before it won the ADCO contract.

“The drilling industry is one of the most demanding in its use of information technology but this is doubly so in the case of its printing and imaging requirements,” says Khaled Kamel of HP.

“ADCO put us through a series of very testing procedures but we were very pleased with the performance of our products. The large scale order that we have secured from ADCO is testimony to the quality of these products,” he adds.
