Tejari signs deal with ArabMedicare.com

Tejari.com hopes to gather more friends in the healthcare sector through its alliance with medical portal ArabMedicare.com.

Tejari.com has signed an agreement with medical portal ArabMedicare.com. According to the agreement, Tejari will serve the e-procurement and online buying needs of the Arab healthcare industry. ArabMedicare.com will, in turn, promote the B2B marketplace to the region’s healthcare industry.

“Healthcare is a vital industry sector for Tejari, and already a significant portion of goods and services currently being traded through the marketplace are related to the medical sector. Our alliance with ArabMedicare.com facilitates further opportunities for Tejari’s current members while creating a vibrant new collaboration channel for the region’s medical community,” stated Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, chief executive officer (CEO), Tejari.

The region’s medical sector is reputed to have some of the most advanced healthcare technology in the world. And it is one of the fastest growing industries in terms of online procurement and e-business adoption. However, much of its administrative processes are still paper-based. “Tejari is offering the region’s medical sector a critical opportunity to reduce procurement and operational costs by trading online while accessing a wider base of suppliers and buyers”, explained Saif Al Mansoori, marketing director, Tejari. “We welcome alliances similar to this one with Arabmedicare in other vertical industry sectors, and we are actively pursuing these partnerships”, he added.
