Online business to business (B2B) marketplace, Tejari is targeting companies in the region’s free zones at it attempts to expand its trading community.

To win the hearts & minds of free zone companies, Tejari participated in Freezex exhibition.

During the show, Tejari hosted virtual tours and technology demonstrations of its marketplace for attendees. Executives and procurement managers from multinationals and locally-based businesses visited the stand to learn more about the business benefits of Tejari’s online trading community, including expanded market reach and reduced administrative procurement costs.

“Companies operating from the region’s free zones are ideal potential Tejari members because they tend to be logistics focused, and are eager to capitalise on the inherent efficiencies in web-based transactions either with their existing partner community or potential customers,” says Saif Al Mansoori, Tejari’s marketing director.

“Free zones attract companies interested in minimising administrative procedures and swiftly acting on new business opportunities. These are the same benefits that Tejari’s members are receiving,” he adds.

Tejari is also pursuing the region’s free zones themselves to diversify and grow the online trading hub. During the Freezex exhibition, Tejari highlighted the business benefits that it has delivered to Jebel Ali Free Zone as an organisation currently procuring goods and services through the electronic marketplace.
