Tech Data launches Grand Prix promotion

Tech Data has begun its first major reseller incentive promotion for the year, with a chance to attend the Malaysian Grand Prix

Tech Data has launched a new reseller incentive scheme for 2003. The ‘Race to Win the Grand Prix 2003’ promotion, that runs until the end of the month, offers resellers the chance to win a number of different prizes, including a trip to see the Malaysian Grand Prix.

The promotion features daily prizes for resellers, with a grand prize of complete trips to see the Malaysian Grand Prix in Kuala Lumpur at the end of March. Participants can follow their progress on the Tech Data web site, on a virtual race track scoreboard. The promotion covers products from APC, 3Com, Cisco, Compaq, Computer Associates, Fujitsu-Siemens, HP, Kingston, Maxtor, Microsoft, Palm, SMC, Symantec, US Robotics, Veritas and Western Digital.

“Formula One winners are leaders, team players and have a relentless desire to champion,” explained Eliot Shepherd, marketing director of Tech Data. “This is the spirit we would like to carry and spread to our customers, staff and vendor partners throughout this year.

“We will have draw of valuable prizes for two customers each day, and for the entire period of January; final top resellers will receive packages to attend the Grand Prix 2003 in Malaysia, accompanied by Tech Data’s top performing staff member,” he added. “With this competition, we kickoff an exciting year that carries Tech Data’s objective to continue growing profitability and leadership in the channel.”
